Meet Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy Toomer, and here’s a little inside look at who I am and what makes me tick.

Life is about discovery and my life has taken me on many adventures with a few side roads along the way. Each road traveled, good or bad, has made me the person I am today. At this point in my life I think I’m a pretty great person, and I think most who know me would agree. I have always had great expectations, regardless of the challenges, and I will always cheer for a perfect ending because I believe in the good in people and in ‘happy-ever-afters’.

In my own ‘happy-ever-after’, I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. My husband and I make our home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and have been married, well, forever. He is my best friend, my biggest advocate, and the anchor that keeps me grounded. We are the extremely proud parents of a son and a daughter. Our children are the beautiful joy in our lives, our greatest gifts to each other.

I love to laugh and have fun. I am always up for a celebration, any excuse to get family and friends together for a good time. I especially love spending time with my children. I enjoy watching the old classics, near end of the world movies, and chick flicks. I listen to country music and, much to everybody’s chagrin, I think I can sing and dance. I believe that smiling at a stranger can help brighten their day. I was born with the gift of gab and can always think of something to talk about. I routinely start up a conversations with complete strangers.

I am a ‘walk-a-holic’. I can walk and talk for miles – my mouth goes as fast as my feet. We have many walking paths here in Idaho Falls and I am always willing to go for a walk should a friend need company. The mountains are my sanctuary. A drive through a local mountain pass calms my soul and a deep inhale of fresh mountain air clears the fog in my head. Thank goodness my husband is a willing companion.

There you have it, me, in words. A little weird, a little spunk, and a whole lot of, mostly, happy. As for writing romance, I’ve wanted to do it for always, so a couple years ago I actually put pen to paper and, finally, with encouragement from my husband, wrote my first book, The Stockings Were Hung, a Christmas romance.

I take pleasure in creating a love story with all its ups and downs. I write from the heart, and I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
